New Delhi: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot termed Jyotiraditya Scindia's defection from the Congress to the BJP as a “ Shameless act”.

BJP was horse-trading to topple a democratically elected government in Madhya Pradesh, he said.

As for ‘opportunists and ‘careerists’ who can’t face agni pariksha—he would rather have them left the party than betraying it from within.

He was referring to Jyotiraditya Scindia’s failure 2019 election and further said that Scindia couldn’t digest setback and time without power involving in politics.

BJP was trying a model which they had tried in Karnataka before and he termed the situation as a naked misuse of power and money.

He also added that his government in Rajastan had no similar threat.
