Bangalore: Kannada actor turned politican Divya Spandana aka Ramya, who created quite a stir on social media with her comment that ‘Pakistan is not hell’, has refused to apologise even though a a private complaint under Section 200 of Cr.Pc has been filed against her.

The actress who is mainly seen in Kannada films was recently in Islamabad to attend SAARC Young Parliamentarians Conference. While talking about her experience in the country, she had said ‘Pakistan is not hell. People are just like us. They treated us very well”.

The remark apparently came after Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar’s statement that ‘going to Pakistan is like going to hell’.

She added, ‘We talk of terrorism across the border, let’s not forget what we do to our own fellow men’.

The actress has been on the receiving end of staunch criticism with people burning up her posters and slamming her online calling her anti-national. However, the actress has been taking the trolling in her stride. She has refused to put her foot down and apologise for the statement.
