UAE expands visa-on-arrival access for Indian nationals
text_fieldsDubai: The UAE has broadened its visa-on-arrival policy for Indian nationals, now including those with valid visas, residence permits or Green Cards from six additional countries.
Starting February 13, 2025, Indian citizens with ordinary passports and valid documentation from Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand and Canada will be eligible for visas on arrival at all UAE entry points. This marks a significant expansion of the policy, which previously only applied to individuals with documentation from the United States, European Union member states and the United Kingdom.
The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security (ICP) confirmed that eligible travelers must hold passports valid for at least six months and pay the necessary visa fees, in accordance with UAE regulations.
According to the ICP, this decision reflects the UAE’s strong ties with India and aims to facilitate travel for Indian nationals and their families. The expansion is also expected to support skilled professionals and entrepreneurs, aligning with the UAE’s broader strategy to attract global talent and strengthen its position as a key financial, tourism and economic hub.
