Sharjah: Sharjah Municipality launches a new public parking subscription service on Monday, introducing greater convenience for residents and businesses alike. This innovative offering allows individuals to secure a personal subscription for one month, covering two zones of their preference.

Hamed Al Qaidi, the director of Public Parking Management, emphasized that the launch of this subscription type is part of the municipality's ongoing efforts to provide services seamlessly. He highlighted that the initiative responds to the significant demand from users seeking monthly subscriptions for specific areas.

Al Qaidi elaborated that these seasonal subscriptions complement existing payment options for parking fees in Sharjah City. They offer flexibility by enabling users to select subscriptions for 10, 20, or 30 days, as well as options for three, six, or 12 months, granting access to a vast network of 70,000 parking spaces across the city.

The municipality provides exceptional subscription packages, including a 20 per cent discount for various categories of individuals. These categories encompass retired citizens, elderly citizens, residents in fee-based areas, university students, government employees in Sharjah City, beneficiaries of the Social Services Department, beneficiaries of the Community Development Department, holders of the ‘Homat Al Watan’ card and ‘Waffer’ cardholders. Applications for exceptional subscriptions must be made exclusively through customer service centres.

The introduction of this new public parking subscription enhances urban mobility and delivers streamlined services to the residents and businesses in Sharjah.
