The UAE and Bahrain are all set to initiate a safe travel corridor for vaccinated people between the two countries from the first day of Eid Al-Fitr.

As part of the UAE-Bahrain joint cooperation and coordination to recover from Covid-19 repercussions, the travel corridor will enable travel free of quarantine providing that travellers adhere to other precautionary measures in the countries, UAE's news agency WAM reported citing a joint statement by the countries.

The move shows the efforts put forth by both countries in their battle against the pandemic by facilitating easy movement of vaccinated people and to achieve the goals of vaccination campaigns for all eligible sectors of the community.

UAE and Bahraini residents can access the quarantine-free travel corridor with presenting document evidence confirming that they have received the two jabs of the Covid-19 vaccine or a valid certificate through UAE's Al Hosn and Bahrain's BeAware applications. Travellers can also save their PCR test results on the two apps.

"The strategic partnership between the UAE and Bahrain is important, in light of the significant challenges facing the world caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, supporting their efforts to address and overcome the crisis," the statement said.
