Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman met Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his delegation on Tuesday at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

The meeting aimed to improve Saudi-Iranian ties and address regional challenges. The crown prince and Araghchi reviewed the status of bilateral relations and shared views on developments in the region.

Prince Mohammed said he hopes the current ceasefire agreement between Iran and Israel will lead to better regional security and stability.

He repeated Saudi Arabia’s support for diplomacy and stressed that dialogue is key to resolving disputes and easing tensions.

Araghchi thanked Saudi Arabia for condemning Israeli aggression.

Saudi officials present at the meeting included Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman, Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and National Security Advisor Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban.
