The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has been honored with the Global Humanitarian Achievement Award by the National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations in recognition of its significant international relief efforts that have made a substantial impact worldwide.

The National Council's second President and Chief Executive Officer Delano Roosevelt presented the award to KSrelief Supervisor General Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah in Washington yesterday. In a press statement, Al Rabeeah said that this award is an international acknowledgement of Saudi Arabia's significant role in relief efforts through the center. He noted the Kingdom's commitment to aiding people in need, supporting those affected by crises, and assisting refugees wherever possible. He also affirmed that Saudi Arabia has consistently been a leader in charitable and humanitarian initiatives and remains at the forefront of donor countries on regional and international fronts.

KSrelief was established in 2015 under the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. Since then, it has implemented 3,105 relief and humanitarian projects across 104 countries, a total of $7.1 billion. These projects span essential sectors such as health, education, food security, shelter, water and environmental sanitation. They also provide support and coordination for humanitarian operations.

KSrelief strives to be a leader in relief and humanitarian activities by upholding top international standards and best governance practices, guided by values of neutrality, transparency, quality, professionalism, creativity, partnership building and community support.
