Riyadh: LuLu Hypermarkets across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will showcase the unique home flavours of six Arab countries that are famed for their culinary heritage – Egypt, Syria, Morocco, and Jordan. The festival opened today at the LuLu Hypermarket in Ali Ibn Talib Branch Road, Riyadh.

Present were the Ambassadors of the countries: H.E. Ali AlKayed, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Jordan, H.E. Dr. Mustapha Mansouri, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco, H.E. Ahmed Farouk, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt. They were welcomed by Mr. Shehim Mohammed, Director of LuLu, Saudi Arabia.

The festival was also inaugurated at Jeddah, Al Marwah branch on Wednesday 9th February. The occasion was graced by our chief guests, H.E.Brahim Ajouli- Council General of the kingdom of Morocco in Saudi Arabia, Jeddah and Mr H.E. Mr Mohammed Ramadan - Consul of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Jeddah.

The festival, which will run from February 9th to 16th, will celebrate the goodness of regional Arab cuisines. There will be delicacies of these countries prepared in the different Hot Foods sections of LuLu across the Kingdom and a wide range of attractively priced speciality products, such as different Egyptian cheeses, Tunisian olives, Palestinian olive oil, Jordan's famed Halava sweet and mixed pickles, nuts coated with local honey and sesame, different types of tea including the popular hibiscus flower variety, and exotic biscuit crackers flavoured with thyme, anise and other local herbs, made in popular factories in these countries.

"We want our customers to explore the taste of items as varied as kubbeh and grills to Egyptian koshary and Syrian sweets. In addition, there is a wealth of Arab cheeses and processed foods, such as pickles, crackers and confectionary that will be on offer at amazing prices. This festival is truly all about the full-bodied and nutritious "Flavours of Arabia." said Mr Shehim Mohammed.
