The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has taken action against seven Umrah companies for failing to meet transport service obligations as outlined in their approved pilgrim service programs.

The violations were identified during routine oversight aimed at enhancing service quality for pilgrims and visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque. In alignment with Saudi Vision 2030, which prioritizes improving the pilgrim experience, the ministry implemented strict regulatory measures—suspending the errant companies and liquidating their bank guarantees to cover the cost of alternate transportation for affected pilgrims.

In a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency, the ministry reaffirmed its commitment to upholding pilgrims’ rights and delivering services with the highest standards of professionalism. Officials also stressed their zero-tolerance stance on negligence and contractual breaches.

The ministry urged all Umrah companies to strictly follow approved regulations and schedules, stressing the importance of service quality and ensuring the comfort and safety of pilgrims throughout their stay in the Kingdom.
