Jewish settlers open attacks on Palestinians in Occupied West Bank
text_fieldsOccupied West Bank/Palestine: Many Palestinian villages in the occupied West Bank became targets to illegal Jewish settler's violence on Friday, a day after a Jewish settler was gunned down near an illegal settlement outpost, Al Jazeera reported.
Palestinian officials said that settlers entered Palestinian villages adjacent to the city of Nabulus and destroyed Houses, cars etc., while people got beaten up.
Photos and videos were shared on social media, which showed bruised victims of the attacks and clashes between residents and armed Israeli settlers. Palestinians testified that the assaulters used firearms against them and tried to abduct a resident.
On Thursday, Palestinian shooters reportedly opened fire at a settler's car, killing him and wounding his companions. Yehuda Dimentman was shot at the Homesh's illegal outpost, which Israel had evacuated during its withdrawal from Gaza Strip in 2005.
The murder is expected to ignite more violence and conflict between Palestinian residents and Israeli settlers here. Israel administration had said that they would find the gunmen of Thursday's shooters and deployed heavy forces at the area where the incident occurred.
The Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that the army arrested at least three men during overnight raids.
The Occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem witnessed a rise in violence in recent weeks. There were incidents of Palestinian factions killing Israeli's in the area as well as Israeli troops retaliating.
Israel Army had killed a Palestinian man who was a part of a protest against illegal Israeli settlements here. A minor was also killed after a car allegedly hit the person at a military checkpoint.
