Emirates bans pagers and walkie-talkies on flights following Lebanon explosions

Dubai-based Emirates Airlines has issued a ban on pagers and walkie-talkies for all passengers on its flights in response to last month’s deadly attacks in Lebanon involving explosive communication devices.
The airline stated that passengers traveling to, from, or via Dubai are now prohibited from carrying these items in both checked and cabin baggage. Any prohibited devices found will be confiscated by Dubai Police, as part of enhanced security measures.
The ban follows a series of September explosions in Lebanon, where booby-trapped Hezbollah pagers and radios detonated, causing significant casualties.
Emirates also announced the suspension of flights to Iraq and Iran until Tuesday, with services to Jordan resuming on Sunday. Flights to Lebanon remain grounded until October 15 due to escalating tensions and Israeli strikes targeting Hezbollah near Beirut's airport.
Other airlines in the region have similarly suspended services to Beirut amid the ongoing conflict.
