Israel has appointed Eitan Na'eh, its former ambassador to Turkey, as the country's temporary ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, the Jerusalem Post reported.

He will be the first Israeli to receive a full diplomatic status in the UAE and will arrive in Abu Dhabi in the coming days. His temporary assignment will help establish a permanent embassy in the UAE, Israeli news media reported.

This represents the growing relations between the two countries following the signing of the Abraham Accords between the UAE and Israel in Washington on September 15.

UAE was the first GCC country to sign the accord, as following its footsteps.

Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco have also agreed to normalise ties with Israel.
