The Department of Government Support has limited workplace attendance in Abu Dhabi's government and semi government institutions to 30 percent from Sunday (February 7), state-run news agency WAM reported on Saturday. Abu Dhabi Media Office tweeted that the move will bolster precautionary measures implemented in the emirate.

The department has also approved remote working for all roles that could be performed outside the workplace for employees older than 60,chronically ill or immuno compromised, and those with disabilities.

Weekly PCR tests will also be compulsory for all employees except volunteers in vaccine clinical trials and those vaccinated as part of national vaccination programmes who have active icons (gold star or letter E) on Alhosn app.

The UAE has the highest cumulative vaccine distribution rate after Israel, according to data from national health authorities. On Saturday, the country gave 193,187 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine in the past 24 hours. The total doses administered stands at 4,201,347 with a rate of vaccine distribution of 42.48 doses per 100 people.
