Engg, pharmacy entrance exam starts; 88.59 percent attendance

Thiruvananthapuram: A whopping 88.59 percent attendance marked the first day of Kerala state engineering and pharmacy entrance test on Thursday.

Of 1, 12,163 applicants, 99,365 attended for the paper first, which included physics and chemistry. The paper second: mathematics will be held on Friday.

Those seeking entrance to engineering course would have to attend two more exams. Exams are being conducted in 329 centres including those in the state, Mumbai and Dubai.

As many as 91,807 students applied for engineering, while 63,474 for pharmacy.

Ranks of engineering courses will be determined considering both the score from the entrance and the marks in the qualifying exams (Higher Secondary or equivalent).
