Vigilance finds corruption in Palarivattom overbridge construction

Kochi: High levels of corruption involved in the construction of Palarivattom overbridge, states the FIR filed by Vigilance department.

As the graft was found in the preliminary probe, the Vigilance has filed an FIR against officials of Roads and Bridges Corporation and KITCO. The FIR will be submitted to Moovattupuzha court on Tuesday.

The probe reveals that poor quality cement was used for the construction and not enough iron rods are in place, alongside changes were made to design for garnering illegal profit.
