Thiruvananthapuram: CPI-M veteran V.S Achuthanandan met party general secretary Sitaram Yechuri on Sunday in the wake of his firm stand that he should be re-induct in the party state secretariat.
The CPI-M state leadership, however, has opposed any move for Achuthanandan's re-entry to the state secretariat.
Achuthanandan had walked out of the state conference of the party in Alappuzha last year in protest against the scathing criticism unleashed against him by some delegates.
The politburo commission had taken this act of VS as violation of party discipline. But, the Commission had not recommended for any major action against the veteran leader considering different facts.
