New Delhi: A three-member delegation of BJP leaders from Kerala met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh here on Tuesday to apprise him of political violence allegedly sponsored by the ruling CPI(M) in the state.

Talking to the media after the meet, BJP state president Kummanam Rajasekharan, who led the delegation, said the Home Minister had assured that the Centre would intervene in the issue.

The delegation also included BJP national executive member V Muraleedharan and senior leader P K Krishnadas.

The decision to meet the union minister was taken during a core committee meeting of party leaders held in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday.

"Political violence has reached its pinnacle in Kerala. CPI(M) is spreading violence through primitive methods. State-sponsored violence is happening in Kerala," Rajasekharan alleged.
