Government to fetch rice from West Bengal

Thiruvananthapuram: As rice price soar up to record rate, state government has decided to bring rice from West Bengal.

Kadakampally Surendran, Minister for Co-operation, informed the legislative assembly that the process is on to get rice from West Bengal and that it will be distributed through Niti Stores within 10th of March.

Last day, market price for Jaya rice reached 50 rupees.
