Attack on media persons: case registered against lawyers

Thiruvananthapuram: The police on Saturday registered a case against ten lawyers in connection with incident of attack on media persons at the special vigilance court.

A case has been registered against bar association secretary Aanayara Shaji, Rathin, Subhash, Arun, Rahul and five others who can be identified.

On Friday, a group of lawyers had manhandled journalists in a crowded court room

The violence occurred despite a formal assurance from the High Court Chief Justice that journalists could report court proceedings unimpeded.
