Kannur: In a new twist to the Fazal murder case, an RSS activist has reportedly told the police that the RSS activists were behind the murder of NDF activist.
Subeesh, who is an accused in the Mohanan murder case, said CPI-M leaders Karayi brothers - Karayi Chandrasekharan and Karayi Rajan – had no role in the crime.
Muhammad Fazal was murdered at Thalassery on October 22, 2006.
The CBI in its chargesheet had said that Fazal was killed by CPI-M due to political animosity after he shifted allegiance to NDF and lured young CPI-M members to NDF.
Local CPI-M leaders Karayi Rajan and Karayi Chandrasekharan were named as accused in the chargesheet.
