Malappuram: A blast took place inside a car parked on the Malappuram Collectorate premises on Tuesday.
The blast occurred around 1.30 pm on Tuesday inside the private car hired by District Homoeo Medical Officer. No one was injured in the incident.
A box bearing the words ‘The Base Movement’ has been recovered from the spot. It contains a pamphlet and a pen drive. The pamphlet says: “Mohammad Akhlaq was killed by terrorists of India became shame in front of world…. Next count your days.”
Several vehicle parked near the car also were damaged in the explosion.
Bomb and dog squads are searching the place, police said.
