Kochi: The special investigation team of the Kerala police team, probing the brutal rape and murder of a dalit law student in Perumbavoor, has taken one more person into custody in connection with the case.
The detainee, a neighbour of Jisha, is believed to be a Malayali. He was taken into custody from Bengaluru.
Sources said that he was in the vicinity of Jisha's house during the time of the murder.
Jisha was found murdered on April 28 near a canal here by her labourer-mother. The body was badly mutilated.
