Thiruvananthapuram: KPCC president V.M Sudheeran Saturday said the UDF was engaged in direct fight with the LDF, not with the BJP.
“The BJP is trying to open their accounts in Kerala. But, they can’t do that. I don’t think the BJP can make any significant gain in the election,” Sudheeran told reporters.
Sudheeran’s comment came hours after Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said the BJP was the key opponent of the UDF in certain areas in the state.
Chandy said that the LDF would be pushed to the third place after the Assembly election.
Significantly, Chandy had too made a similar remark during the campaign for the Aruvikkara election.
