New Delhi: The Congress leaders’ talks in Delhi on the candidates’ list have hit a road block with KPCC president V.M. Sudheeran insisting on excluding the tainted names from the list.

Sudheeran has reportedly objected to a few names, including those of Excise Minister K. Babu, Revenue Minister Adoor Prakash, Minister K.C Joseph, Benny Behnan and A.T George, to which Chandy and Chennithala have disagreed.

Sources said the final list may take some time as objections have been raised by a few top leaders.

Meanwhile, the Congress screening committee meeting, which was scheduled to be held on Thursday to discuss the list of candidates for the polls, has been deferred to Friday.

Polls for the 140-member Kerala assembly will be held on May 16.
