LDF cheated me, says P.C George

Kottayam: Kerala Congress(Secular) leader P.C George Tuesday alleged the LDF had cheated him by denying the Poonjar seat for the coming Assembly election.
“The LDF has cheated me. They took their decision on the Poonjar seat after receiving money. It was not payment seat, but a payment decision,” George told reporters at a press conference.
“What we saw in Poonjar was Faris Abubackers and 'Chakku' Radhakrishnans taking decision,” he said.
“I will obey what the people of Poonjar want. I won't follow the directives of political bosses. I respect V S Achuthanandan. If I win and if he becomes the Chief Minister, I will support him,” said George.
He, however, said there would not be any change in the tie-up reached with the LDF during the election to the tier bodies.
The LDF, which finalised its seat-sharing agreement on Monday, had denied the Poonjar seat to George despite his having moved closer to the Front after leaving the ruling UDF.
