Kozhikode: The Supreme Court on Monday rejected the appeal filed by the state government against the High Court verdict to close down Malaparamba Aided Upper Primary (AUP) School here.
The state Government approached the apex court challenging the High Court order on closure of the School, pointing out that the closing of the institute will affect the future of the students and will deny their right to education.
The High Court order was to close the school by June 8.
The School Protection Committee had organised a grand welcome party for nearly 13 new students through Praveshanolsavam on June 1.
