Thiruvananthapuram: With Finance Minister Dr. T.M Thomas Isaac revising the tax rates, the document registration will soon be a costly affair.

The six percent tax fixed on registration of stamp paper has been revised to eight percent.

In case of undivided property, the tax has been fixed on the basis of the fair price of the land. However, this was so far not applicable to residence. As per the revised clause, the cost of residence will also be included.
