KPAC Lalitha likely to be appointed as chairperson of Sangeetha Nataka Akademi

Thiruvananthapuram: Cine actor K.P.A.C Lalitha is likely to be appointed as the chairperson of the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi.

According to reports, the LDF government has decided to appoint eminent writer Vaisakhan as the chairman of Kerala Sahitya Akademi.

The government is also considering appointing Beena Paul as the vice-chairperson of the Chalachitra Akademi.

Sources say that the announcement regarding the new appointments will be made on Monday.

Lalitha, who was considered as LDF candidate from the Wadakkanchery Assembly constituency, had withdrawn from the race following opposition from local CPI(M) leadership.
