Will enter Sabarimala temple in Jan, says Trupti Desai

Kannur: Activist Trupti Desai has said she will enter Sabarimala Ayyappa temple in the month of January.

“There is no ban for women in other temples dedicated for the Lord Ayyappa. It is only in Sabarimala the women are denied entry to the shrine,” Trupti Desai said at a function in Kannur.

“We are not opposing the religious beliefs. What we are opposing is its commercialisation,” she said.

“Everyone must support our mission as it is for the rights of women,” Trupti said.
