Autopsy reveals Kuppuswamy had multiple bullet wounds
text_fieldsKozhikode: The autopsy report of slain Maoist leader Kuppuswamy Devaraj, who was killed in an alleged encounter with the police in the Nilambur forests, revealed that he had nine gunshot wounds.
According to the report, Kuppuswamy had received five bullet wounds from behind and four from the front.
Meanwhile, the District and Sessions Court, Manjeri, will hear tomorrow an application filed by D. Sreedharan, younger brother of slain Maoist Kuppu Devarajan, urging the court for a re-examination of the bodies of two slain Maoist leaders.
The court had ordered the police to preserve the bodies of Devarajan and Ajita until December 5.
Two Maoists - Kuppuswamy Devaraj (65), a central committee member of the outlawed outfit, and Ajitha (45), had been killed in an encounter with police in Nilambur forests on November 24.
