CPI-M, CPI are united, says Kodiyeri Balakrishnan

Thiruvananthapuram: CPI-M state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan on Tuesday said CPI-M and CPI work in unity in the state and Assembly election results were the example of that harmony.

“There is no issue between the parties. We work in unity. It is understandable that why some people try at this point of time to create a notion that the division between CPI-M and CPI is deepening,” Kodiyeri wrote in a Facebook post.

“There is absolutely no issue between the parties either in the state-lever or in national level. There might be small issues in the local level. But some people with vested interests are trying to portray it as division between the two parties,” he added.

On Monday, CPI mouthpiece Janayugam had unleashed an attack on CPI-M leader M. Swaraj, MLA, on its edit page, giving the row between the two Left parties in Ernakulam district a nasty turn.

Swaraj has been indulged in a not-so-friendly conversation with some CPI leaders on Facebook.

A conflict apparently triggered over the acceptance of ousted CPI-M members by the CPI.
