Kochi: The Kerala High Court Thursday directed the government to submit evidence against Vigilance SP R. Sukesan.

“Is there any evidence against Sukesan? This is a serious matter. The officer should not be allowed to continue in service if there is any evidence against him,” Justice P.D Rajan said while considering a plea filed by former finance minister K.M Mani.

Mani, in his plea, had asked the Vigilance court proceedings against him be halted until the completion of Crime Branch probe against Vigilance SP R Sukesan.

A probe has been ordered against the Kerala Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB) Special Investigation Unit SP R Sukesan and bar owner Biju Ramesh for reportedly conspiring against Mani.
