Kochi: The Kerala High Court Monday observed solar scam accused Saritha Nair’s words were not believable.

“How Saritha, an accused in the case, can seek for a CBI probe?” Justice Kemal Pasha asked while rejecting Saritha’s plea seeking CBI probe into Chief Minister Oommen Chandy’s alleged role in the scandal.

The court which questioned her conviction asked if bringing out a complaint against the chief minister during election time have any agenda.

“It is not interested in the political game that happens during election time,” the court said.

“If there is any complaint in this regard, Sreedharan Nair must have actually approached the court. Instead of the complainant, why is the accused moving the court?” the court asked.

Saritha, in her petition, had alleged that a special investigation team constituted by the state government did not investigate role of the Chief Minister in allegedly persuading businessman Sreedharan Nair to start a mega solar project.
