Kochi: Justice Sivarajan Commission Tuesday said it would consider re-examining Chief Minister Oommen Chandy in the solar scam.

“We will consider re-examining Chandy in the solar scam once the evidence collection is over,” the solar commission said while considering a plea filed by the All India Lawyers Union.

“There are several questions need to be asked to Chandy based on statements of other witnesses. The deposition of Saritha Nair had not been completed when Chandy appeared before the panel,” the commission said.

Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on January 25 for the first time had appeared before a judicial commission probing the solar panel scam that has rocked the state since 2013.

Chandy, during the deposition, had maintained that the charges against him and his office were 'politically motivated' and denied any wrong-doing.
