T.N Prathapan had sought Kaipamangalam seat?

New Delhi: T.N Prathapan, MLA, had reportedly sent a letter to AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi seeking the Kaipamangalam seat.

According to reports, Prathapan in his letter to Rahul sought an opportunity to contest from Kaipamangalam constituency in Thrissur district. Rahul Gandhi, who read out the letter before the election committee meeting, gave him go ahead to contest.

Prathapan, however, denied the media reports saying he did not sent any such letter to the high command.

“This is the propaganda of my opponents,” he said.

Prathapan had earlier said that he was contesting the polls owing to the pressure exerted on him by the party high command and Rahul.
