Seat-sharing issue in Cong will be solved soon: V.M Sudheeran

New Delhi: KPCC president V.M Sudheeran Friday said the seat-sharing issue in the Kerala unit of the Congress party would be solved soon.

“The talks are on. The issue will be solved soon,” Sudheeran told reporters after holding talks with Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi.

Hectic parleys are on to resolve the differences between senior Congress leaders from Kerala over finalisation of candidates for the May 16 Assembly elections.

Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala and KPCC President V M Sudheeran are camping in Delhi to give a final shape to the list prepared by KPCC and get the Congress high command nod for the same.

On Thursday, the leaders met Congress President Sonia Gandhi separately in order to iron out some differences over the selection of certain candidates, Congress sources here said.
