CISF, Nepal Armed Police Force to cooperate in multiple sectors

New Delhi:A visiting delegation of Nepal's Armed Police Force on Tuesday agreed for inter-agency coordination, mutual cooperation and many other issues in a meeting with the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) here, an official said.

The 25-member delegation, led by Deputy Inspector General Chandra Prakash Gautam, held a meeting with the CISF at its headquarters at CGO Complex in Lodhi Road area in the national capital.

The CISF delegation was led by Additional Director General Alok Kumar Pateria.

"During the meeting, an understanding with respect to mutual cooperation on use of technology, indigenous experience, best practices used by each other, incident response and management system, inter-agency co-ordination, training and skills upgradation, terrorism, public dealing and abroad deployment were discussed," said the CISF official.

A presentation on CISF showcasing its diverse and multifaceted role in various sectors was also shown.

The Nepalese delegation expressed gratitude for sharing of useful information and appreciated the role being played by the CISF in guarding the critical and sensitive infrastructures.

The CISF is mandated to provide security at over 60 airports across India, Delhi Metro and several other government and private buildings and establishments.
