New Delhi: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau refused the presidential suite and stayed at a regular hotel room during G20 Summit in New Delhi, PTI reported.

Other Global leaders who had participated at the G20 stayed at presidential suites specially designed by Indian security agencies keeping to protocols.

Trudeau’s delegation informed security agencies that the suite was refused over cost considerations.

The Indian agencies said they had no information about the president’s staying in a regular room.

On September 10, Trudeau's flight developed a technical snag which made him to extend his stay.

The Canadian side refused India’s offer of flying back the prime minister and his entourage.

They waited for a replacement aircraft and Canadian prime minister left India on September 12, according to PTI.

Shortly after his return to Canada, Trudeau alleged that India involved in the killing of Hardeep Nijjar.

Subsequently, Canada expelled an Indian diplomat from the country to which India reciprocated, expelling a Canadian diplomat.

Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a designated terrorist in India, was gunned down outside a Gurdwara, in British Columbia on June 18.
