The Indian Navy presented the world's largest national flag at the Western Naval Command here on Saturday to mark Navy Day 2021, an official said. Two hundred twenty-five feet long and 150 feet wide, this Indian Tricolour made of khadi weighs a staggering 1,400 kilograms (around 1,40 tonnes).

As part of the 75th anniversary of Indian Independence, it has been designed and manufactured by the Khadi and Village Industries Commission.

By displaying the monumental national flag on this small, but important gesture, the Indian Navy re-dedicates itself to the service of the nation on Navy Day and renews its pledge and commitment to protect and promote national interests and serve the people of India," said an official.
