Pak colonel gave 30,000 to attack India: captured terrorist says

Rajouri: The Indian army captured one Pakistani terrorist alive foiling infiltration attempts along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Naushera Sector of Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri hours ago.

Two other terrorists died in a landmine blast after the soldiers spotted their movements along the Line of Control in the early hours on August 21.

The terrorist who was captured alive, identified as Tabarak Hussain hailing from Sabzkot village in the district Kotli of Pakistan occupied Kashmir, was given medical aid including a life-saving surgery.

On interrogation, Tabarak Hussain confessed about the plan to attack the Indian Army Post alongside revealing that he was sent by a Colonel of the Pakistan Intelligence Agency named Col. Yunus Chaudhary paying him 30,000 Pakistani Rupees.

Tabarak also revealed that Col Yunus Chaudhry on August 21, 2022 gave terrorists the go-ahead to target Indian posts.

The second attempt to breach the LoC came on the night of August 22-23 after a group of three terrorists infiltrated in Lam sector of Naushera district of Jammu and Kashmir, according to a report in India Today.

The Indian soliders, who were observing the terrorists closely as they moved into the mine fields, activated a series of mines eliminating two terrorists on the spot.

On August 23, India's quadcopter spotted bodies of two terrorists in the heavily mined area along with two AK-56, three Magazines and a large quantity of ammunition, the report said.
