Bhartiya Janata Party's Bengal chief Dilip Ghosh today have given credit to 'outsiders' for the development of the state.

For his statement he has received a sharp reaction from Trinamool Congress, who termed Ghosh's remark as "divisive", and ignorant of politics, culture and history of West Bengal.

As a reaction of his comment, TMC secretary-general Partha Chatterjee said that intention of BJP is to 'undermine and humiliate' Bengalis. They are now exposed.

"Since the pre-independence era, people who had come from other states played a crucial role than Bengalis in developing the state," Mr. Ghosh said in an event in Kolkata.

"Ruling party is discrediting people who have worked for the welfare of the State" he further said.

Calling it an irony, he said, ruling party is making 'outsiders' such as Shah Rukh Khan who is state's ambassador and Prashant Kishor who is TMCs' poll strategist, as 'insiders'.
