Organisations must look inwards during unprecedented crisis: CVC

New Delhi: Central Vigilance Commissioner Sanjay Kothari on Monday said that the citizens and organisations must look inwards at a time when the world is facing an unprecedented crisis and should focus on improvement of internal processes and activities.

The Central Vigilance Commissioner said this while addressing a webinar organised by New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) on the theme of Vigilance Awareness Week - "Sarthak Bharat Smraddh Bharat" - on the eve of Vigilance Awareness Week.

"Systematic improvements may be carried out to improve the delivery of public services in all organisations. Training and capacity building of staff is an important component supporting this object," he said.

While sharing the experiences on the best practices and innovation by setting-up the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) for NDMC services, Chairman of NDMC, Dharmendra said that in today's dynamic scenario, only those organisations that are efficient and manage their resources efficiently and effectively achieve success.

"So, it is our responsibility to ensure transparency, accountability, fairness and objectivity so that the NDMC's resources can be utilised optimally to the benefit of the public at large without any leakage," he added.

The webinar was attended by the Heads and Senior Officers of all urban civic bodies of Delhi like North MCD, East MCD, South MCD, DDA, Delhi Cantt., Additional Chief Secretary (Urban Development), Delhi Government and shared their experiences on the best practice and innovation to increase the transparency in its organization working.

Secretary, NDMC, Amit Singla presented his vote of thanks and the welcome address was given by Chief Vigilance Officer Sanjay Kumar Tyagi on this occasion.
