New Delhi: Nirmala Sitharaman, the Union Finance Minister, stated on Wednesday that since inflation has subsided over the past several weeks, it is not a "red-lettered" concern.

Speaking at the India Ideas Summit, she declared that the development of jobs and income distribution are top priorities for the federal government.

Sitharaman went on to say that India is assuming the G20 presidency during difficult times when geopolitical equations are unstable and global supply chains have been harmed.

The Finance Minister said that the National Infrastructure and Investment Fund (NIIF) needs to be more robust.

Speaking on the Data Protection Bill, she said that the Centre is keen to bring it.

IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said on Tuesday that the Central government will soon bring a completely new version of the bill.
