New Delhi: National Cadet Corps (NCC) got praised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday for its contribution to India. Addressing the NCC rally at Cariappa Ground in Delhi, the PM said that the training he received in NCC and the things he learned from it had provided him great strength in delivering his responsibilities, Asian News International reported.

He said that he also received the NCC alumni card recently.

Modi said that India is celebrating the Amrit Mahotsav of its Independence, and therefore there is a different enthusiasm as the country witnesses the historic festival. He said that he is witnessing that enthusiasm there on that ground. This India's youth power's vision and it will fulfil every Indians resolves, he said.

Modi said that, as India is moving forward with new resolutions, the Union government's efforts to strengthen NCC is also going on. The government has already set up a high-level review committee in the country for the same. The PM said that the government had created more than one lakh new cadets in India' border region in the last two years.

The NCC rally is held annually on January 28th, marking the end of the NCC Republic Day Camp.
