Shocking video shows Muslim man beaten up by right-wing cow vigilante in Gujarat
text_fieldsAhmedabad: Despite authorities' assurances of stringent actions against individuals affiliated with right-wing groups who take the law into their own hands under the pretext of cow protection, another case of alleged assault has emerged from Gujarat.
In a video posted on the X platform by journalist Mohammed Zubair, a Muslim man named Umed Khan Baloch can be seen being brutally attacked by men for transporting buffaloes in a pickup van.
The incident reportedly occurred on July 22 in Charotar, Gujarat, but the distressing video only gained attention on August 5.
The assailants, four men clad in saffron scarves, were captured on video forcefully pushing Baloch into a water well before subjecting him to a vicious beating.
The attackers demanded that Baloch chant the slogan "Jai Shri Ram," highlighting the religiously motivated nature of the assault.
However, officials stated that no First Information Report (FIR) had been lodged in connection with the incident. They emphasized that an FIR is necessary to verify and address the reported incident.
