Jaipur: Police are looking for four gangsters who allegedly shot dead two persons including a notorious gangster in Rajasthan's Sikar city today.

Gangster Raju Theth was killed when the gang opened fire on him at the entrance of his residence at 9.30 am, according to NDTV.

The other person was to be caught in the firing and die is identified as Tarachand Kadwasara, who was taking his daughter to a coaching centre. His cousin was also injured in the firing.

Theth, whose brother also ran hostel here, was in rivalry with another gang in the Shekhawati region of the state; Theth suffered three bullet injuries.

Police said the assailants have been identified after a footage showed four accused running away after shooting Theth, with one of them firing in the air to scare away people.

Later on Facebook, a man named Rohit Godara who introduced himself a member of Lawrence Bishnoi gang, said Theth's murder was the revenge for Anandpal Singh and Balbir Banuda.

Banuda, a member of the Anandpal gang, was killed in Bikaner jail in July 2014.

Hours after his death, supporters of Theth have called for a shutdown in Sikar demanding arrest of the killers.
