Abhijit Naha claimed the man he beat up was a TMC insider who cheated him of his money.

In the auditorium BJP was holding an even to discuss the book 'Modi@20: Dreams Meet Delivery' when Naha lunged at Sabyasachi Roy Chowdhury, according to India Today.

Prakash Javadekar was about to conclude his speech when Naha was seen dragging Chowdhury out of the auditorium before beating him up.

Abhijit Naha, a youth wing leader of BJP in North Kolkata, alleged that Roy Chowdhury took money from others too.

"He is no one in the party. He is a TMC man who cheated many people. He took money from others in the name of IPS officers", he was quoted as saying.
