Jamaat-e-Islami Hind President Syed Sadatullah Husaini has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Prince Karim Al-Husseini, Aga Khan IV, stating that his demise marks the end of an era of extraordinary philanthropic and developmental contributions.

Acknowledging his role as the 49th Imam of the Nizari Ismaili community, he noted that Aga Khan IV dedicated his life to societal upliftment, transcending religious and geographical boundaries through his vision for a better world.

Husaini highlighted the significant impact of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), which the late leader founded and led with remarkable dedication, establishing institutions in education, healthcare, economic development, and cultural preservation.

He pointed out that these initiatives improved the lives of millions across Asia, Africa, and beyond, while Aga Khan IV’s commitment to improving living conditions for the underprivileged, regardless of faith or background, remained commendable.

He further noted that Aga Khan IV’s contributions extended to architectural excellence through the Aga Khan Award for Architecture, which reflected his deep concern for cultural heritage and sustainable development. Describing his legacy as one of service and humanitarianism, Husaini stated that his efforts would continue to inspire future generations.
