New Delhi: The Delhi police arrested an Indian nurse who is accused of the murder of a 24 year-old woman in Queensland in Australia.

Rajwinder Singh, a 38-year-old nurse, reportedly fled to India two days after allegedly murdering Toyah Cordingley on a beach on October 21 in 2018.

Australian police has offered for his arrest the largest bounty it has over put on any absconding person.

Toyah Cordingley was walking her dog on Wangetti Beach when she was killed and Rajwinder Singh, the main suspect, fled the country two days later.

In his hurry to flee the nation, Singh left behind his wife and three children in Australia forcing the Australian police to announce one million Australian dollar (USD 633,000) bounty.

Rajwinder Singh has been arrested three weeks after the Queensland Police announced the bounty for any leads and tip off on him.

Rajwinder Singh who hails from Buttar Kalan in Amritsar, Punjab has been arrested just three week after the bounty was announced.

A Queensland Police officer told news agency PTI tht Singh departed Australia after Toyah was murdered and flew from Sydney to India on October 23.
