Massive fire breaks out at Maha Kumbh Mela again!!

Prayagraj: A fresh incident of massive fire happened at the Maha Kumbh Mela here, engulfing several tents and causing panic among pilgrims. The fire broke out between sectors 18 and 19 at the Mela, and multiple fire engines were working to bring the blaze under control. Initial reports suggested that no casualties happened, but the exact cause for the blaze is yet to be found, India Today reported.
There were National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) teams on the spot to assist in the rescue and relief efforts.
Though there were no reports of injuries, the belongings of many attendees were destroyed or burnt to ashes while authorities were assessing the extent of the damages.
The major pilgrimage event in Uttar Pradesh involved multiple instances of untoward incidents. It was only last week a fire broke out in Sector 18, spreading across more than 20 tents in Hariharanand Camp on Shankaracharya Marg. Fire brigades rushed to the spot and brought the flames to control, and no injuries were reported.
Another incident of fire happened on January 19, where a massive blaze broke out at the Maha Kumbh after gas cylinders exploded in the Sector 19 campsite. There were no casualties then, too, and the fire department was quick enough to act and bring the fire down.
In an incident of a stampede, an unfortunate and tragic turn of incidents at a pilgrim site, 30 people were killed and around 60 sustained injuries at the Maha Kumbh in the early hours of January 29. The incident caught headlines, and many reacted to the mismanagement of an event that lakhs attended.
There was also an incident of a 300 km long traffic jam in Madhya Pradesh associated with the Kumbh Mela.
